This poem reminds me of the many times I had to pretend to be someone else. It is the poem "We Wear the Mask" by Paul Lawrence Dunbar. I recently gave my students a project to complete where they all made masks, which turned out great! I often collaborate with other disciplines to show students that they can find math useful everywhere they go.
